WOMEN’S BUSINESS CLUB is officially the first business in Cheltenham to accept BitCoin. Bitcoin is a payment system which uses digital money, using peer – to – peer payment chains which has no authority. For those who use the payment system, BitCoin is an app or computer programme which allows customers to have access to a BitCoin wallet which they can send and receive payments. They’re said to be much easier than debit and credit purchases. Users will make a payment from a wallet application and this can be via the app or a computer. All they need to do is enter the recipients address and the payment they want to process and then press send. QR codes are also available to make it even easier.
Maximise Conference and Awards, the Women’s Business Clubs annual celebration with businesswomen all across the UK, is accepting delegate bookings with BitCoin. Women from different companies will be able to connect with others and to work on their businesses rather than in them. The conference will be taking place at Pittville Pump Room in Cheltenham on the 6th December. Events such as these have been going since 2013. The Maximise Conference will be lead by the Women’s Business Club.
The Women’s Business Club was founded by Angela De Souza, enabling other women as well as herself to feel confident and themselves when starting up a business. Their mission is “to build a network of businesswomen across the UK so that no businesswoman has to travel more than half an hour to access a club”. Angela says, “Accepting BitCoin is just another way that we are hoping to make it easier for businesswomen across the country to connect with us and each other.”
There are still tickets left for #MaximiseConference, be sure to get them quick!
